The Buddha's Birthday (Fo Guang Shan Chinese Temple Visit)
On Friday the 20th LH1, LH2, LH3 and LH4 went to the Fo Guang Shan Chinese Temple because it was the Buddha's Birthday and also we were there to learn about the 4G and 3G. LH1 and LH3 took the same bus to go to the Chinese Temple and LH4 and LH2 went in a separate and different bus to get to the Chinese Temple, so we were the first ones there so we had to wait for 5 or 10 minutes for them to arrive then they finally arrived in a few minutes. So the first thing we did was the greeting from the Chinese helpers and also they introduced themself to us but we already knew them from last year because we visited them last year too but some of the new learners that just came to Ormiston Primary School this year didn't noticed them or knew them at all. The activities we did at the temple was the same activities from last year but the same thing the new learners didn't know what the activities were, the thing we learnt at the temple was loads of information that I couldn't remember because there loads but I knew some of the things we learnt, we learnt the lotus flowers and the Buddha's Life. At the end of the day we watched a video of how the Buddha live throughout his life and what he accomplished, it showed a lot of stories and people and things that had happened to the Buddha in his life. At the end of the video the Chinese Helpers gave us a pendant of a brown small foot that had a spider on it, the Chinese helpers told us that the spider meant greatness. Then we had to go back to the school because we have finished our lesson at the temple, I had a fun day at the temple and I hoped there's more to learn about it.
